Words from Amy Pennington-Fryer

I've studied media for seven years now and as soon as I graduated from university I moved over to Perth from the UK.

When I discovered Colosoul, I couldn't wait to be apart of such a creative and inspiring team. I joined the social media department, but it's great that you can get involved in as many or as little projects that you like- they have a range of different areas that suit everyone's personal likes and dislikes.

Being part of Colosoul means that I really get to utilise the knowledge and skills that I have gained over the years and apply them with an afency that share the same passion and interests as I do.

Choose a job you love, and you will never have to word a day in your life!

Words from Renee Campbell-Sobers

Today is Renee's final day working on the Social Media team at Colosoul before she heads home to Canada! (**sad face***) Renee has written a few words for the Colosoul blog about her time at Colosoul and what she has learnt while being here. We wish you all the best Renee and hope you come back to visit us soon!

My experience at Colosoul has definitely been one of the highlights of my time in Australia. I enjoyed working with creative like-minded people and they were all around my age!

I love being able to relate to the people I work with. Another thing that stood out during my time at Colosoul was the opportunity to work on different projects. It doesn't matter what department you're in or whether you're experienced in that area or not; if you had an interest, you could have an input. You can't get that type of hands- on experience everywhere.

The three months I spent at Colosoul has really peaked my interest in marketing, advertising and public relations. So much so that I'm thinking of doing it as a career! Working with Tegan to promote POP Creative was great, she was very kind and helpful. I think what I'll miss most are the people, even though you see ten million different faces throughout the week it's never a dull moment at the office.

I'm sad to leave but I wish everyone at Colosoul good luck with everything they do!

Words from Amy King

I am currently the head of film at Lepak Media; our film and photography initiative within Colosoul. This is my first time in a leadership position which is a little scary, but I'm determined to give it my all and to learn what it takes to become a successful leader.

I'm grateful to Colosoul for give me this chance, especially since I've struggled to get work within the arts and media industry for so long. Rejection can feel a bit demoralising sometimes, so this new role has really given me the confidence boost I need to trust my skills and capabilities as a leader.

I just finished my degree and I'm absolutely exhausted. I had been there for 4 years, but I'm also so glad it's over. It's a strange feeling leaving Uni. For me, Uni was my comfort zone and it became an excuse to put my dreams on hold.

Now I have no excuse to get out into the real world and pursue them. It can be a tad daunting and overwhelming but I'm determine to put in the hard work so I can start the next chapter in my life and turn dreams into reality.

I'm really excited about moving into out new Colosoul space, once the stress of moving is over. Our new studio space will be 3x the size of our old one which will give us a lot more creative freedom. So I'm particularly excited about that :D
